Ramush Haradinaj has called it shameful that Fatmir Limaj, with whom he competed on a joint list, supports Albin Kurti to vote for the new Government. On Monday, Haradinaj stated that if Limaj, together with the two Nisma MPs, decide to support the Vetevendosje Movement, then it will be difficult for the opposition to secure the numbers for a Government without Kurti.
"It was very difficult to create a majority from the opposition, its early positioning made it even more difficult, it was premature, and if NISMA and Limaj support the government, it is understood that they are separating from us. Yes, it is a very shameful separation because we asked for votes for change and their behavior and actions are very shameful," said Haradinaj.
Haradinaj said that there has been no communication with Limaj since February 20, the date when the Nisma leader himself left open the possibility of cooperation with Kurti. But Limaj himself said that he is open to cooperation with all political forces, both with Kurti and with opposition parties, writes A2 CNN.
"The Initiative has no agreement with anyone to date and the Initiative is ready and will work hard so that Kosovo forms its institutions, so that Kosovo does not go into a parliamentary crisis. What we can say so far is that we do not even have an agreement with any political group," said Limaj.
Unlike PDK and LDK, Haradinaj left open the possibility of voting for the candidate for parliamentary leader who should be proposed by the Vetëvendosje Movement.
"I believe that the constitution of the Assembly is in everyone's interest, and then, as you know, AAK is committed and working to ensure that the opposition forms the government in the event of impossibility or failure to form one from the position," said Haradinaj.
Limaj also said that they will make their contribution to forming the new institutions, without specifying that they will do this even in the absence of a formal agreement with Vetëvendosje.
"We expect the government and institutions to be established according to constitutional deadlines. We will play our role in the establishment of these institutions to the extent that it is our responsibility and required of us. This is where our constitutional duty ends," Limaj said.
The session to constitute the Assembly will convene on Tuesday and is considered successful once the Speaker and the Presidency of the Assembly are elected. (A2 Televizion)
