The Central Election Commission of Kosovo has announced that the installation of surveillance cameras in polling stations for the parliamentary elections on February 9 will be done with the aim of guaranteeing the security of election materials.
Valmir Elezi, media spokesperson for the Central Election Commission, said regarding this issue that the cameras will be placed at the other end of the place where the voting booth will be present in the voting centers in Kosovo.
According to Elezit, the storage of camera recordings will be temporary until the destruction of the election material.
At the last meeting, CEC member Arianit Elshani warned the commissioners and other members who will participate in the election process that there will be surveillance cameras in every classroom and that any action that may endanger or violate the election process will be prosecuted.
