Currently, 4 fires are active across the country out of 15 reported today. In the new update, the Ministry of Defense announces that the active fires are in Vlora, Berat, Dibër and Lura.
In the Lura National Park, the fire continues to burn intensely due to the wind, while in the "Sotiran" area in Vlora, between Dukat and Tragjas, the fire is being kept under control with aerial and ground interventions.
In all cases, the fires do not pose a threat to residential areas. Firefighters, local structures and the armed forces remain on standby to deal with the situation.

According to data reported to the National Civil Emergency Operations Center at AKMC, from 09:00 to 20:30, on 08.07.2025, 15 fires were reported.
Of these, 11 fires have been extinguished and 4 fires are active.
After continuous work by operational forces on the ground, it was possible to completely isolate and extinguish the fires in:
1. The village of Mnelë e Madhe, the administrative unit of Vig-Mnelë, the municipality of Vau-Dejës
2. Karahaxha village, Finiq administrative unit, Finiq municipality
3. Neighborhood No. 6, Kavaja municipality.
4. The village of Stajkë, Bushat administrative unit, Vau-Dejës municipality.
5. Porodinë village, Bulgarec Center administrative unit, Korça municipality
6. In the Gur i Bardhë neighborhood, Dimal administrative unit, Dimal municipality,
7. Radesh village, Skrapar Center administrative unit, Skrapar municipality
8. Togëz village, Librazhd Center administrative unit, Librazhd municipality
9. Mbrostar village, Mbrostar Ura administrative unit, Fier municipality
10. Katundi i Ri village, Mamurras administrative unit, Kurbin municipality
11. Mamëz village, Kolsh administrative unit, Kukës municipality
Currently, outbreaks are active in:
Vlora Region
1. The place called “Sotiran”, between the villages of Tragjas and Dukat, Orikum administrative unit, Vlora municipality. The fire continues to be active in an area of bushes and thorns at the height of the mountain. The Cougar Helicopter and 40 military forces were deployed to support the situation. The fire does not pose a threat to residential areas.
Berat District
2. In the village of Zgërbonjë, administrative unit of Vërtop, municipality of Poliçan, work continued to extinguish the fire that broke out on 05.07.2025. Today, 30 MZSH officers with 7 firefighting vehicles from the municipalities of Poliçan, Berat and Skrapar, and 25 municipal forces were deployed at the scene. 20 troops from the Armed Forces also came to support the forces. Today, work was done to extinguish the logs within the perimeter of the fire. The fire continues to remain active but does not pose a danger to residential areas at the moment.
Dibër District
3. In the place called “Fusha e Peladhisë”, administrative unit Fushë Bulqizë, municipality of Bulqizë, work continues to extinguish the fire in an area with bushes and rare vegetation. The fire is developing at low intensity and does not pose a risk of spreading to forested areas. The fire is developing in 3 different foci at a distance from each other. During the day, 2 firefighting vehicles of the Bulqizë MZSH with 11 employees, 7 Forest Service forces and 3 volunteers were deployed on the ground. The area covered by the fire is estimated at around 17 ha.
4. In the place called "Lake of Flowers", part of the Lura National Park, Lura administrative unit, Dibër municipality, work has continued to extinguish the fire that broke out on 07.07.2025 in a forest area with pine trees and meadows. Due to the intensity of the wind, the fire has taken on large proportions, risking the involvement of a large forest area of the Lura National Park. At the scene, today, 6 employees of the Administration of Protected Areas, 5 forces from the administrative unit and 25 volunteers (residents of the area) were deployed. The Cougar helicopter also came to help. The fire does not pose a threat to inhabited areas at the moment.
