"To ensure that SPAK will continue the fight against corruption and organized crime without interruption in the future, we believe that SPAK prosecutors should be allowed to apply to serve again after their current term ends ". This message was conveyed by the deputy assistant secretary for the Western Balkans, Alexander Kasanof, at the 5th anniversary of SPAK, emphasizing that "failure to realize this risks interrupting the most successful effort against crime and corruption in Albanian history and the loss of the most experienced professionals ".
According to him, SPAK is one of the most reliable institutions in Albania, but it cannot solve all the country's problems, since the fight against corruption is everyone's duty.
"Justice will be served. no one is above the law. In addition to being accountable to citizens, your actions must be accountable to justice. These processes, moving justice forward is essential to build a good justice system. Independent institutions must be efficient. The independence of SPAK remains essential. SPAK is one of the most reliable institutions in Albania. SPAK and Dumani cannot solve all Albania's problems. Other institutions should also show courage and dignity. The fight against corruption is everyone's duty".
Kasanof emphasized that "during the 5 years of SPAK we have seen the future with more hope that a more democratic future is possible".
