The International Republican Institute has published the National Survey for Albania on justice, political parties, government and leaders. The data extracted from 1200 respondents shows a high level of support among citizens for SPAK, 76% of them, which continues to remain the most trusted institution in the country.

Most respondents expect more investigations and punishments of corrupt politicians, because corruption is one of their main concerns. Meanwhile, 51% of them stated that they would not support in the elections those parties that support laws to limit the work of SPAK.

This was one of the issues discussed this evening in Debat by Alba Alishani on A2 CNN. Analyst Lorenc Vangjeli stated that this is a perception that has been going on for almost two years in Albania by citizens, believing SPAK to be the most trustworthy institution in the country.

"This is a figure that is consistent with a general perception that all Albanians have that SPAK has a certain level of support, but also from a series of surveys with no connection to each other. This is the trend and I believe it is unmistakable."

"So, for at least 2 years, SPAK has been rising as the most trustworthy institution in the eyes of the people. The big promise that was made in 2015-2016 was that impunity would end. This was the bitter candy that was given to a public for what it was missing, until that moment it had faced impunity and here it was going in the same line," said Vangjeli. (A2 Televizion)
