Following the scandal involving 8 tons of salmonella-tainted meat that was released onto the market, the director of the National Food Authority in Tirana has resigned. Fatjon Pasholli resigned from this position on Friday, April 4, but did not comment on the reasons.
Alketa Hoxha has been appointed to replace Pasholli. The latter has held the position of legal director at the General AKU.
