Houses under water and flooded lands, the Ministry informs about the situation due to rainfall in Durrës

The situation created by the rainfall in the Durrës region has caused problems in a considerable number of homes, which have water in them. According to information provided by the Ministry of Defense, several families have been evacuated and are being accommodated at Kavalishenca, while during the night, army forces worked to remove water from the Durrës prison.  

Secondary roads in the area of ​​New Durrës, Shkozet, the Court of Appeal, and partly the Beach Area have significant problems, while about 40 ha of land is under water.

Meanwhile, work continues by forces on the ground to remove water from areas affected by intense rainfall in part of the Durrës municipality. Forces from the Ministry of Water Resources, the Port Authority, the Drainage Board, and the municipality's public works enterprises are also engaged in the field.

Information on the situation created by rainfall in the Durrës region

Throughout the night and today, work continues by the field forces to remove water from areas affected by intense rainfall, in part of the Durrës municipality. The most prominent problems are secondary roads in the area of ​​New Durrës, Shkozet, the Court of Appeal, and partly the Beach Area.

· There is water present in a significant number of homes and public spaces.

· Several families have been evacuated and are being accommodated at Kavališenca.

· The area of ​​agricultural land under water is estimated at around 40 Ha.

· There is a slight increase in the levels of the Ishëm and Erzen rivers, but without risk of overflowing their banks.

· The dams in Hamallaj and Porto Romano continue to operate at full capacity

· Forces from the Ministry of Environment, the Port Authority, the Drainage Board, and the municipality's public works enterprises are engaged in the field.

· In support of the forces on the ground, 2 high-capacity suction pumps and 3 high-pass trucks from the Armed Forces have been deployed.

· During the night, the capacities of the Armed Forces were reinforced with 2 small pumps from the Poshnje support battalion, which are working to remove water from the Durrës IEPV.
