A quantity of 270 tons of rice, which came from Vietnam, has been blocked in the Port of Durrës. During the inspection by the National Food Authority (AKU), it turned out that the rice was infested with larvae.
It is not yet known whether the amount of rice in 15 containers will be returned to Vietnam again, or will be destroyed.
After AKU carried out the necessary analyses, sent the samples to the laboratory, it turned out that this entire amount of rice was with larvae, which was not acceptable to put on the market. The company has its claims that the larva could be removed through cleaning, and then they would throw it on the market.
This version has not been accepted by AKU, which has ordered that the 15 containers be seized until all the analyzes are done. (A2 Televizion)
