The first protest against the agreement of Prime Ministers Rama and Meloni, which brings thousands of African immigrants to the Shengjin area every year, took place in the city of Lezha.
Dozens of citizens marched in the streets of the city and asked others to join them to prevent Shengjin from turning into a refugee camp.
The banners that caught the eye in this protest read "Don't return Lezha to Lampedusa", "I choose the guest and not Edi Rama", or "Don't bring me Africa, bring me Europe".
The former mayor of the municipality, Salvador Kacaj, said in front of the audience that Rama brings the immigrants to Lezhë, because according to him he hates the north.
"Gjergj Kastrioti chose Lezha for the "covenant", while Rama chose Lezha to bring the immigrants, who don't even want to come to Albania," said Kaçaj. (A2 Televizion)
