Majlinda Dehima, the teacher who beat the 3-year-old girl, was taken into police custody this Thursday afternoon. She is charged with the criminal offense of "Mistreatment of a minor".
Meanwhile, based on the fact that after this scandal it was seen that the private kindergarten "Stinët" was unlicensed, the Police announces that it has started checks to prevent similar cases.
"In continuation of the in-depth investigative actions regarding the case of mistreatment of a 3-year-old girl in a private kindergarten, the Crime Investigation Specialists at Police Station No. 1 Tirana, executed the Prosecutor's order for the security measure "Arrest in prison", given by the Court of First Instance of the General Jurisdiction Tirana, for the citizen Majlinda Dehima, 48 years old, for the criminal offense "Mistreatment of a minor".
This citizen is suspected of abusing a minor in a private kindergarten, where she worked as an educator.
Meanwhile, in order to increase the security parameters in nurseries, kindergartens and private schools, the State Police has started field inspections to verify the legality of the exercise of activity by private economic operators.
The State Police invites parents, the media and citizens to report any case of abuse and mistreatment of children in kindergartens, nurseries and schools, guaranteeing a quick and professional response", the Police informs.
Dehima worked as an educator, and after the parents' denunciation in an investigative show, it was noticed that she mistreated a minor, where the violence broke her leg. Moreover, the 3-year-old girl was left without medical help for more than 5 hours. (A2 Televizion)
