The President of the Republic, Bajram Begaj, today congratulated the Bektashi believers on the day of Novruz, a day considered by them as the most blessed of the year, as it marks the start of Spring and coincides with the birthday of Imam Ali.
"Happy Sultan Novruz, dear Bektashi believers! May this holy day, which comes along with spring, bring prosperity and goodness to every home of yours and that of every Albanian!", says President Begaj in his congratulations on Sultan Novruz.
Sultan Nevruz Day coincides with the birthday of Imam Ali. Therefore, this holiday represents a significant and blessed day of the year for the Bektashis. He was born on March 22 and is one of the greatest saints of all time and the first of the twelve imams. (A2 Televizion)
