A worrying phenomenon: in Durrës, public lighting cables are often stolen

This is one of the many cases where various people steal public lighting cables in the city of Durrës.

The cases have become a worrying phenomenon for the city municipality. While the number of people identified or detained for this problem is very low compared to the cases that are repeatedly detected in the same area, writes A2.

According to municipal employees responsible for public lighting, the profit of the perpetrators compared to the damage they cause is negligible, as repairing stolen lines also damages the city's infrastructure.

Meanwhile, the Durrës Police, regarding this issue, state that the cases have been referred to the prosecution, many of which still have no identified perpetrator. (A2 Televizion)
