Year-end holidays, immigrants add to the flow at border crossing points

The port of Vlora and the border crossing point of Kapshtica have marked this Sunday the highest flow of people who have entered our country since the summer season. Over 6,300 people from Kapshtica and over 1,800 from the port of Vlora warn of days with increased flow at the border points until the first days of January next year, A2 CNN reports.

This Sunday has marked the highest flow since the summer season of passengers coming to the port of Vlora with the ferry line from Brindisi in Italy. Over 1,000 passengers, 176 cars and over 10 buses have disembarked at the port of Vlora, marking the first day of the year-end influx that will last until the first days of January, while the ferry is expected to run double daily lines.

Of course, most of the passengers are Albanian immigrants in Italy, reports A2.

Meanwhile, land points of the border crossing with Greece in Kapshtica have also recorded an increasing flow. According to official data, over 6,300 people entered our country from this point in the last 24 hours. In order to cope with the influx that is expected to continue until the first days of January, measures have been taken to increase counters. (A2 Televizion)
