The end of the year holidays, the police are on alert, increased security measures in the country

From this Tuesday, the police are on heightened alert until January 3. In order to guarantee order and security, during the last days of this year and the first days of 2025, the State Police has drawn up a detailed plan of measures, to prevent incidents or criminal events, as well as to facilitate the increased movement of vehicles and the entry/exit flow, at the border crossing points, as well as to prevent the trade and use of pyrotechnic substances.

There will be increased control over persons with criminal records, their vehicles and the premises they frequent. In order to prevent criminal events, services and patrols have been increased in the vicinity of banks, foreign exchange offices, markets and other facilities where monetary and material values ​​are administered.

In order to eliminate long queues at entry/exit, counters have been added at all border crossing points. Additional measures have also been taken to prevent road accidents, adding monitoring on all axes in the country, with smart cars, radars and smart drones.
