After a problematic weekend with rain and snow, the week has started with less rainfall, but with a significant drop in temperatures. A2 CNN meteorologist Tanja Porja announced on "Dita Jonë" that today the thermometer will drop to minus 6 degrees Celsius, while the wind will be strong and problematic.
"Decreasing temperatures in mountainous areas, the thermometer will drop to minus 6 degrees Celsius. At noon, the maximum will reach 8 degrees Celsius in the territory range. The wind will be problematic and strong with a northeasterly direction. Few snowfalls remain present in the north, significant precipitation in the southern areas. Since last night, the temperature has continued to drop to minus 5 and minus 6 in the northern areas, in the southern areas to minus 3. Presence of rain in the western areas.
According to the meteorologist of A2 CNN, frost will be problematic during today's day and week, which will descend to 100 meters in height.
"Snowfall in the north in the form of snow hairs approaches heights of 300-400 meters from sea level. The problem today and during the week are the frosts that descend to 100 meters in height for the northern areas and even very close to the coast we have frosts, in the rest of the territory they descend to 300 meters in height".
Porja emphasized that the problem areas where the maximum temperatures will be zero degrees are: Bajram Curri, Hasi, Puka, Bulqiza, Devolli and Kolonja. In the rest, the maximum will be 7-8 degrees.
Even during this week, according to meteorologist Porja, the weather will be icy and frosty, while the thickness of the snow will reach over one meter.
