The Institute of Geosciences has provided details regarding the earthquake with its epicenter this Friday in Shkodra, announcing that the magnitude was 4.1 on the Richter scale.
Fortunately, no material damage was reported, while the tremors were felt as far away as Tirana.
"According to preliminary data from the Institute of Geosciences, at 14:39:00, earthquake tremors with a magnitude of 4.1 on the Richter scale were felt. The epicenter was recorded in Velipojë, in the Shkodra district, with a depth of 15.8 km.
The tremors were also felt in the areas surrounding the epicenter. According to preliminary communications with local government representatives, the civil defense structures of the Shkodra Municipality and Shkodra Region have not reported any material damage.
