Chaos in the Assembly, EU delegation: Functional Parliament, central pillar of the accession process

Two days after the draft budget for 2024 was approved in principle in less than 5 minutes in the Parliament, the reaction of the Delegation of the European Union in Albania has arrived. 

The delegation reminds Albania that a functional parliament is the pillar of the European Union membership process. 

Also, the representatives of the Union in Albania remember that the constructive dialogue in the parliament is important and in the interest of the Albanian citizens. 

A day ago, the German ambassador in Tirana, Karl Bergner, also reacted to the crisis involving the parliament.

The German diplomat called on the majority and the opposition to cooperate, as he stressed that the parliament must fulfill its essential constitutional role.

Meanwhile, the headquarters of "Elbasani Road" in a reaction to A2CNN expressed concern about the recent developments in the parliament.

In its response, the US embassy noted that "a functional parliament and dialogue between its representatives are of critical importance to provide services and draft laws in the interest of the Albanian people". (A2 Televizion)
