June 1, 2024 will be the long-awaited date for Albanians and all those who wish to immigrate to Germany, as the third phase of changes in the immigration law will come into force on this date. Lawyer Rafael Todhe explained in the A2 CNN Diary that this is the most important phase for immigrants, as he also explained some of the phases of the law, which entered into force on November 18 of this year.
"The first phase began on November 18, in March 2024 is the second phase, the third and most important phase for Albanians is on June 1, 2024, while the final phase on January 1, 2026. The law is graduated and entered into force in November 18 as a full law".
According to him, this law does not benefit people who do not have a trade, but Todhe clarifies that from June 1, 2024, the number of people from the Balkans who apply for work in Germany will double.
"They do not benefit, but the law from June 1, 2024 doubles the number of people who applied under the old law of the Western Balkans, i.e. from 25,000 to 50,000. Germany interested in receiving labor force".
Asked if it is easier to go to Germany, alone or with family, the lawyer says that the law allows it, but there are difficulties.
"For the first time qualified persons are given the right to adopt the parent, but it has not yet been determined at which stage of the law. Yes, it is not easy because he has to find a place to live. Family reunification requires conditions and it is not easy to come within 1 or 2-3 months. But there are also those who have achieved it. The biggest difficulty is housing, because in Germany you need the first 3 salaries and it proves that you have income to buy a house".
For the lawyer Todhe, it is not the help for the children that pushes the Albanians to take the road to Germany, but it is the possibility of the labor market and the future of the children.
"This is not the starting point of the Albanians, but it is a consolidated state, it gives you the right to work and a capable person can find himself".
