The snowfall "paralyzed" the circulation of vehicles, Arbri Road is reopened

The area of ​​Dibra was one of the most affected by the bad weather that gripped the country in the last 24 hours, with heavy snowfall, which covered the mountainous areas, blocking the traffic of vehicles on Arbri Road.

Dozens of vehicles remained blocked in the Qafë Murriz bypass, being forced to return to Tirana in the evening. The situation on the ground was also observed by the Minister of Infrastructure, Belinda Balluku.

From the area of ​​Xibri, he followed closely the efforts of the ARRSH to open Arbri Street to traffic, which was blocked for several hours, and asked citizens to avoid unnecessary movements on these axes.

After Balluk's appeal, it seems that the work to open Arbri Street continued throughout the night with snowplows, and the authorities say that it was possible to reopen it for traffic on Sunday morning.

Also the Peshkopi-Maqellare-Bulqizë road axes; Bulqizë - Vašë-Klos Bridge; Klos-Burrel-Ulez, are open.

" Yesterday evening, the Police of Dibra was maximally engaged by coming to the aid of the vehicle drivers and passengers who remain stranded in Qafë Murrizë, where they were evacuated with high-speed police vehicles. The maintenance companies of these road axes are continuing to throw salt and clear the road from ice" , it is stated in the police announcement.

Meanwhile, the authorities repeat the call to road users to avoid unnecessary movements and to show maximum caution as there is ice on the road.
