Defense Minister Pirro Vengu, in a direct link from Delvina to the central news edition on A2 CNN, outlined the situation with the fires in that area.
"A few hours ago we started evacuating three villages and all forces have been engaged to limit the fire outbreaks. We also have the National Emergency and the staff of the Delvina Municipality present, who have done a heroic job so that the evacuation of residents goes without problems," said Vengu.
"These will be difficult hours, the temperatures will be extreme tomorrow as well... All our efforts are initially for residential areas and then for protected parks. We must continue with maximum vigilance. We had warned of such a situation and therefore there was a timely reaction," added the Minister of Interior.
