The seven finalists of the second phase of the "Hospitality Albania" program presented today before an international jury architectural project ideas for the transformation of depreciated government residences into exclusive destinations for elite tourism and the reception of important personalities. In his speech, Prime Minister Edi Rama stated that the competition organized by the Albanian Investment Corporation (KSHI) focuses on the restoration of the dictator's villa in Vlora and another government residence in Velipojë.
"This is the case of the two projects for which today's competition is being held. One for the villa of the leader and dictator in Vlora and another for a government residence in Velipojë. A new path, which we are treading, I believe successfully, but above all where we are seeing the great potential that the use of state assets has to involve the public through the state as an interested party, changing step by step the formulas of interaction with the private sector, which until yesterday have been very basic," Rama said, writes A2 CNN.
He brought to attention the modernization of two residences in Tirana and emphasized that the model followed is that of European practices, where the state participates as an owner and partner in the venture, to create a new financial infrastructure that generates revenue and increases public investment capacities.
"By putting the state in the role of an ordinary owner as a party to the enterprise, we are developing a new financial infrastructure for the state based on the best models in Europe, similar to the Albanian Investment Corporation agency, which in Italy or Spain owns assets and receives impressive revenues that are made available to the public interest to invest in infrastructure and involve state capacities in the growth of the economy and in benefiting from this growth," said the head of government.
