Fier police have arrested a 64-year-old man, a resident of Frakull e Vogël, in flagrante delicto, as the suspected perpetrator of a fire that caused considerable damage.
According to preliminary investigations, the fire is suspected to have been started by this citizen to burn waste on his land, but as a result of the spread of the flames, 225 olive trees owned by another citizen were burned.
"As a result of investigations and other procedural actions, carried out immediately after the report of a fire in the village of Frakull e Vogël, the Crime Investigation specialists of the Fier Police Commissariat arrested in flagrante delicto citizen NK, 64 years old, resident of the village of Frakull e Vogël. The investigations suspect that as a result of the spread of the flames that this citizen lit on his land, to burn waste, 225 olive trees owned by another citizen were burned," the Police announced.
The procedural materials have been referred to the Fier Prosecutor's Office for further action.
The Fier Police appeals to citizens not to light fires under any circumstances and to report any cases to the number 112, guaranteeing anonymity and immediate response. (A2 Televizion)
