Without water in the summer, residents 35 years between suffering and promises

For the residents of the village of Varibop, in the administrative unit of Cakran in Fier, the summer season can also be described as a season of suffering for them, writes A2 CNN. This is due to the lack of drinking water supply. For 35 years, they have faced the same problem every summer, even though they have been promised many times the solution to this vital problem.

This situation is also faced by residents of Varibop who have returned from emigration, or foreigners who have visited the village and who do not understand how one can live — much less develop an area — with such problems.

Meanwhile, the Water Supply and Sewerage Company of Fier stated off-camera that the residents of Varibop are supplied with the necessary amount of water, but the increased volume of consumption during the summer months makes it difficult to provide regular supply to their homes. For this reason, the Water Supply and Sewerage Company is drafting a plan of measures against the waste of drinking water, by inspecting all areas with the help of the Task Force. (A2 Televizion)
