After an absence of almost two months, due to an executive order of the United States government, the American OPDAT experts have returned to SPAK and the Special Court, writes A2 CNN.
Sources close to these institutions announced the return of the same American experts who previously assisted their work. According to the sources, after their return, they held meetings with the judges and special prosecutors.
The American experts, who were supporting the work of SPAK and GJKKO with their presence, left at the end of January following the Executive Order of US President Donald Trump to stop the implementation of international assistance, an order that also stopped all USAID activities in Albania. Following this order, in an official reaction, SPAK said that support for the missions of international partners, including those of the United States, consists mainly of training, study visits, various technical equipment and the case management system.
