Agricultural areas are excluded, Denaj: 10 cadastral areas where cannabis cultivation is allowed

Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development Anila Denaj said that "currently in our country there are 10 Cadastral zones, which have been determined based on studies conducted, for the cultivation of cannabis for medical purposes."

"Currently, there are 10 Cadastral zones that have been determined based on the study that we conducted a few years ago and are well defined, and at the same time, in all the coordination of actions, together with the Ministry of Interior and Health, I believe that all the guidelines will best determine how the process will proceed. They are all over Albania, but there is a necessary criterion. All areas with high agricultural intensity, Myzeqeja and the areas of Korça are excluded. They are agricultural areas, which are out of the attention of the current development of intensive agriculture, and with a distance from schools, inhabited areas, and almost 3 kilometers away from where beekeeping is currently carried out", said Denaj.
