The deterioration of the weather conditions has caused the captaincy of the port of Vlora to come out with an announcement through which it is announced that from this morning it is forbidden to go out to sea for small fishing tools.
According to the captain's office, the vessels that sail within the bay of Vlora must take the necessary measures, as international shipping vessels will continue to operate normally.
Captain's notice
Based on the forecast for the worsened hydrometeorological situation inside and outside the bay of Vlora, during 07.01.2025 starting from 08:00 on 07.01.2025 the hydrometeorological conditions will be in the SOUTH-SOUTH-EAST direction with a force of up to 6-7bft with wind speed up to 15-20m/s and wave height from 1.50 to 2.00 meters.
In order to prevent any unexpected situation due to atmospheric conditions, we ask for the cooperation of all subjects that exercise activity in the maritime field, to take all the necessary measures to secure the tools in the port and increase the readiness of the crew in the tools floating.
1. It is forbidden to equip small boats and fishing vessels that operate in the open sea with a departure permit starting from 08:00 on 07.01.2024.
2. All drivers of small boats and fishing vessels operating inside and outside the bay of Vlora to consider the hydrometeorological conditions and take measures for their safety.
3. International sea transport ships will continue to operate normally according to the respective destinations.
