The public order and municipal police in Vlora have begun field checks to verify the documentation of private beaches.
During an inspection at one of the beaches along the Lungomare, irregularities were noticed in the documentation for the use of the beach space, and today in the early hours of the day, the public order and municipal police removed the umbrellas and sun loungers.
In total, 40 umbrellas and 80 sun loungers have been removed, while the area of about 500 m² will be returned to a public beach. There were no objections from the owner.
The "Free Beach" operation, to free up public spaces on the coastline and verify the legality of activities carried out by private entities, was also carried out on Seman beach in Fier.
The police have vacated 3 public spaces in Seman and have criminally prosecuted the owners of 3 entities that had occupied these spaces by placing umbrellas and sun loungers without permission.
