The head of the National Civil Protection Agency, Haki Çako, was invited to the Evening News with Loneta Progni, where he spoke about the situation created by the fires in our country, now that an extreme heat wave has engulfed the territory.
Çako currently describes the situation as calm, while assessing the most problematic regions for fires as those of Vlora and Lezha.
According to the head of AKMC, the majority of fires in Albania are caused by humans.
"Currently we have a low intensity of fires. There have been 16 fires and only one of them is still active. In the previous days we have had more serious situations. The most problematic regions have been Vlora, Lezhë and Kukës. Over 90% of the cases are caused by human factors, directly related to the burning of pastures and getting out of control. But we cannot rule out criminal tendencies," Çako said on A2 CNN. (A2 Televizion)
