Long queues have formed at the Kapshtica border crossing point. Under such conditions, Albanian citizens who will cross to the other side of the border have been forced to wait for several hours, with the queue reaching as far as the village of Kapshtica.
This entire situation, sources say, came about due to a religious holiday in the neighboring country, which has led to reduced personnel at the Kristapologija border crossing point.
During this afternoon, our authorities have held numerous meetings with their counterparts in the neighboring country to normalize this situation and only around 18:00 did the Greek side add an additional personnel, but the procedures are being delayed due to the increasing flow during the hours of this afternoon.
In the last meeting that our border police had with the Greek one, they asked their neighbors to work with an expedited procedure for Albanian immigrants who have Greek passports and identity cards. (A2 Televizion)
