The veterinary service has quarantined the poultry farm in the village of Shën Vlash, Durrës, after receiving a report that there were poultry deaths on this farm. Specialists have taken official samples and sent them for analysis to the Reference Laboratory - ISUV.
Currently, the Regional structures of the General Directorate of AKVMB and the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development are conducting the epidemiological investigation of the case.
The entity has around 227,708 heads in total, bred in four sheds in the poultry farm of the Rashbull Administrative Unit and one shed in the Shënavlash Unit, of which damages have been reported in only one of them.
Also, the National Veterinary and Plant Protection Authority announces that: The Order for increasing Biosecurity measures is in force; It has notified 68 poultry breeding entities for their commitment to taking biosecurity measures in their establishments; It has notified the regional veterinary service at the national level, for increasing vigilance and monitoring the situation.
