The spring bonus was not distributed in February as stated by the government. It will be given to the elderly from March 1. According to the explanation from the government, the delay in distributing the bonus was due to internal procedures.
"Pensioners will not wait for us to finish the elections, they will get it in February. As those who have their minds backwards think, this is the great celebration of democracy. So I have no concerns," Rama said earlier, writes A2 CNN.
More than half of the month has passed, but the spring bonus has not yet begun to be distributed. Pensioners will be able to receive the promised bonus starting March 1. Its withdrawal will take place on the same day that the monthly pension will be received.
Senior citizens who receive a pension of up to 20 thousand lek will receive an additional 10 thousand lek in the spring. Those who receive more than 20 thousand lek in pension will receive another 5 thousand lek as a bonus. The government changed last year's budget for the third time, distributing 6.3 billion lek in support for the elderly.
But the delay in the distribution of the bonus was caused by internal inter-institutional procedures. From the initiative, all families treated with Economic Assistance, Persons with Disabilities, as well as their caregivers, will also be beneficiaries of the 15,000 lek bonus.
