The Minister of State for Relations with Parliament, Taulant Balla, reacted a few minutes after the Italian Senate unanimously approved the pension agreement with Albania.
In a video on social media, Taulant Balla states that the agreement will be implemented immediately after the president's signature.
"The Italian Senate has just approved with all votes in favor the agreement on the mutual recognition of pensions between Albania and Italy. This is an important day not only for the 500 thousand immigrants in Italy, but also for their families. From this moment, after the signing by the president, the agreement enters into force and its implementation by both governments will begin immediately. This is an important day of the finalization of a multi-year work and therefore I will send a hug to all our compatriots in Italy", said Balla.
This vote concludes the ratification of the agreement by the Italian state, as the vote in the Chamber of Deputies was also held earlier. Meanwhile, the Albanian Parliament has been ratifying the agreement for several months. Now, the publication in the Italian Official Gazette and the entry into force of the agreement remain.
