Entities that want to develop their business and further grow it will have the opportunity to obtain loans with lower interest rates. The Bank of Albania has recently approved a lending program for small and medium-sized businesses with the aim of relieving them of obstacles such as high interest rates, credit costs or lack of collateral.
The program will allow commercial banks to borrow from the central bank at lower interest rates. But their attention should also be paid to loans to the agricultural sector.
For the first 11 months of 2024, new credit provided by the banking sector was 331.9 billion lek, an increase of 21.2% compared to the same period in 2023. (A2 Televizion)
