The still high demand to buy apartments is increasing building permits for real estate. The data from the Institute of Statistics show that in the period of July-September, the public authorities granted permission for the construction of 361 buildings with an area of 455 thousand and 181 square meters.
In relation to the same period of time a year ago, permits have increased by 34.2 percent in number and 8.7 percent in area.
Since the beginning of the year, almost 1,300 construction permits have been approved, with an area of over 1.5 million square meters. In relation to the months of January-September 2022, the permits have increased by 29 percent, but have shrunk by almost 28 percent in surface area.
This is also because the reconstruction process after the 2019 earthquake has been completed in some areas.
The majority of construction permits in the months of January-September, 64.5 percent belong to Tirana, followed by Durrës, Vlora and Fieri.
Most of the construction permits granted in the span of 9 months, over 73 percent, were for residential buildings.
INSTAT data show that the approximate value of construction permits granted by municipalities in the months of January-September is 64.3 billion lek or about 625 million euros.
Compared to a year ago, the approximate value of constructions, which calculates the minimum investment cost, has decreased by ALL 22.3 billion. (A2 Televizion)
