Thousands of businesses have not yet submitted their financial statements for 2024 online to the National Business Center.
The Central Bank of Kosovo reminds businesses that the balance sheet must be submitted by July 31, otherwise they will face penalties provided for by the amended law "On Business Registration".
"The documentation that must be submitted, when keeping these documents is mandatory, includes: annual financial statements, activity progress report and audit report," the Central Bank's announcement states, writes A2 CNN.
According to data provided by A, 26,500 balance sheets have been submitted so far and another 2,000 are still under review by A2CNN. Around 35,000 entities are required to submit financial statements for 2024, and all those who fail to submit them by the deadline will be fined 60,000 lek.
The imposition of a fine by the Central Bank does not exempt businesses from submitting their balance sheets, as in addition to paying the penalty for non-compliance with the legal obligation, the entity registered with the Central Bank must also submit its financial balance sheet.
Their submission can be done online at e-albania, where the steps to be followed by the subjects are explained.
The obligation to submit the balance sheet is imposed on commercial companies (sh.pk, sha), non-profit organizations, if they exercise economic activity, and foreign companies registered in Albania. (A2 Televizion)
