During the period January–June 2025, the number of road accidents decreased by 17.1%, compared to the same period a year earlier.
The Institute of Statistics published today the report on car accidents for the first 6 months of 2025, according to which, road accidents, in 92.5% of cases, occurred as a result of the driver's behavior.
The highest number of accidents, in this period, was committed by the 25-34 age group, accounting for 27.1% of the total number of accidents.
In June 2025, there were 107 road accidents, of which 140 people were injured (killed or injured). Meanwhile, for this month, the highest number of road accidents occurred on Monday with 19.6%, while the lowest number of accidents occurred on Tuesday with 6.5%.
According to INSTAT, the highest number of road accidents occurred during the time period 19:00 - 24:00, accounting for 22.4% of the total number of road accidents. (A2 Televizion)
