During the past year, for salaries and bonuses, 140 Albanian deputies have benefited almost 5 million euros. Data from the Assembly show that more than 261 million Lek or about 2.6 million Euros were spent on salaries for Albanian legislators. In the last month of the year, the Assembly reports that the salary was also given to Sali Berisha, who did not receive his salary because he was under "house arrest" for months.

Meanwhile, for trips inside and outside the country, participation in parliamentary committees or reimbursement of telephone and hotel accommodation payments, Albanian MPs have benefited more than 223 million ALL or about 2.3 million euros.

In line with salaries, even the biggest bonuses were given in the last months of the year.

The data from the Assembly show that the expenses for salaries constitute 54 percent of the total salaries paid to 140 Albanian legislators during the past year, while the rest are bonuses and reimbursements.

In terms of royalties, domestic and international travel accounted for the largest share of expenses at 24 percent, followed by bonuses for participation in commissions, telephone, rent and hotels.

Expenditures for the 140 people's representatives in the Assembly have been significantly expanded since the second half of 2023.
