The Social Security Institute has announced a 3% increase in the number of contributors to the social security scheme for 2024, a positive indicator for the sustainability and strengthening of the insurance system in the country.
According to official data, the number of contributors has reached 805,416 people, which represents an addition of 22,164 individuals compared to 2023.
At the last meeting of the Administrative Council of the SSS, where the financial result for 2024 was reviewed and approved, the Deputy Minister of Economy, Culture and Innovation, Olta Manjani, praised this increase as an important achievement towards improving the financial stability of the system.
"This is a positive step in our efforts to increase the level of inclusion in the scheme. The higher number of contributors will help strengthen the funds and ensure the long-term stability of the social security system," Manjani declared.
Meanwhile, the general director of the ISSH, Astrit Hado, described this increase as the result of good and disciplined administration of the scheme.
"This is a good signal for the further development of the system. The increase in contributors shows the commitment and continuous work of our administration to sustainably manage the scheme," said Hado. (A2 Televizion)
