Economic growth in 2025 expands to 3.9%, tourism and construction are the main influencers

After fluctuations over the years as a result of internal and external factors, the country's economic growth is expected to expand even further in 2025. At 3.9% is the forecast made for the mid-term period 2025-2027 from 3.7% in 2024. While this trend is expected to decline in 2027.

"In 2026 we have growth, but there will be a downward trend that will reach the value of 2025 at 3.9%. Referring to the recession in 2020 and the recovery in 2021, all these indicators lead us to a fluctuation in the numbers", says Eriola Hoxha, an economic expert, for A2 CNN.

It is the good performance of the tourism sector and the construction activity that has the main influence on the economic growth. Economic activity will be mainly supported by the increase in consumption, investments, exports and imports of goods and services.

"The two most important things that make the Albanian economy and with all the movements have a positive development trend are consumption and investments. They have had a positive progress, giving real value to the Albanian economy", says Hoxha.

Regardless of the situation in which they are and the constant need they have, the forecast for the most important sectors of the economy will continue the upward trend. Specifically, Agriculture is expected to grow on average by around 2.4% per year in real terms during the period 2025-2027, Industry around 4.7%, Construction 2.6% and Services 4.5%.

"They also have a special budget for 2025, which is bigger than years ago, which means that these sectors have been given importance from the budget and will make an increasing contribution in the end, both in agriculture, industry and services". says Hoxha.

In front of the most vocal sectors, employment will increase easily but will again be under the pressure of migratory movements. In the 2025 budget, budget revenue programming is based on improving fiscal administration and minimizing informality in the economy. They will reach the amount of ALL 754.6 billion or 28.8% of GDP.
