The Directorate of Taxes has carried out control in one thousand and 197 businesses throughout the country with the aim of combating informality in salaries. Nearly 78 percent of the businesses inspected in December responded to inspections by taking the necessary measures.
"It is not only the issue that the government will only impose fines, but it wants all sectors to be parties to this campaign, to have the opportunity to respond positively and change the statements, so that they are real and not evasive", said Romina Radonšić, economy expert , writes A2.
Businesses that violated the tax legislation in December were fined with administrative measures up to the value of 6.1 million ALL. There are about 37 thousand 331 taxpayers with risk in the field of informality of salaries, those who, despite the first notification, did not react.
"It will positively affect the business. We know that this sector suffers for employees. At the moment we have informality, a negative element, but on the other hand, in the macro aspect for the government, it is seen positively as it has more income", said the expert.
The perception of mass informality is mostly observed in sectors such as agriculture, trade and services, where the majority of the population is employed, and less so in sectors such as energy and construction.
"The reality exists in those sectors that do not have great development, such as agriculture, which is suffering. While the sectors that are more developed, tourism, construction, etc. Even though they are developed, they have not declared properly."
The call from Taxes was sent to 130 thousand subjects from October 1, while so far a total of about 9 thousand answered the call, increasing the declared salary fund by a total of 1.25 billion ALL, reports A2.
