More than 4.7 million tourists entered Albania in the first half of the year. The number of foreigners who came mainly for holidays increased by 5 percent compared to January-June last year. The majority of them, over 4.5 million, are tourists from European countries, followed by those from the United States, East Asia and Africa.
It's called "Yahtzee"... a German game, similar to "rolling dice in Albanian." And these are Henry and Bertha, a German tourist couple vacationing in Himara.
"This is our first time in Albania. We were in Durrës and Vlora before. Himara is very beautiful, we have 4 days here. We will stay for another three days and then we will go to Saranda and then to Corfu ," Henry, a German tourist, told A2 CNN.
"The beach is very beautiful. The beach is clean. And we traveled by boat and saw some strange places. The prices seem normal," Bertha, a German tourist, tells A2 CNN.

In June alone, over 1.3 million foreigners visited Albania, up from around 1.2 million a year earlier.
"This year's season is pretty positive. I'm not comparing it to 2023, as it was even more successful. But my opinion is that it has started well and we hope it ends the same way," Luixhino Isufaj, an entrepreneur in the tourism sector, told A2 CNN.
The majority of them, over 4.5 million, are tourists from European countries, followed by those from the United States of America, East Asia and Africa.
