Starting tomorrow (July 1, 2025), the bilateral agreement between Albania and Italy in the field of social security enters into full implementation, which aims at the mutual recognition and protection of the rights of citizens who have contributed to both systems.
The Social Security Institute (ISSH) has drafted and published the technical guide to implementing the agreement, a detailed document that clearly defines the procedures, benefit criteria and relevant documentation for application.
This guide will directly serve Albanian and Italian citizens, facilitating the process of obtaining pensions and other rights deriving from the agreement, writes A2 CNN.
The agreement, which was signed in Rome on February 6, 2024, was finalized with the relevant document that was delivered to Prime Minister Rama in mid-May by his Italian counterpart, Giorgia Meloni, during her visit to Tirana for the European Political Community summit. (A2 Televizion)
