The operation, codenamed "Destination 4", arrested a 25-year-old man who was trafficking cannabis with a high THC percentage from Thailand to Albania.
2 kilograms of suspected cannabis narcotics with a high THC percentage, worth 40,000 euros, cash, cell phones, valuables and other evidence relevant to the investigation were seized.
The Narcotics Investigation Section, in cooperation with the Special Operational Force of the Tirana Police Department, the Rinas Police Commissariat and the Albanian Post Transit Center Branch, as a result of investigations conducted with proactive methods, under the direction of the Prosecutor's Office at the First Instance Court of General Jurisdiction of Tirana, has finalized another operation against the criminal activity of drug trafficking through the postal service.
As a result of the police operation codenamed "Destination 4", a 25-year-old RS citizen, resident of Tirana, was arrested, who is suspected of trafficking cannabis narcotics with a high percentage of THC, from Thailand to Albania, through the postal service.
This citizen was caught red-handed by the Police services, with a package containing 2 kilograms of suspected cannabis narcotics with a high THC percentage, suspected to have been trafficked from Thailand.
Investigations are ongoing to fully document this criminal activity, identify and apprehend other citizens suspected of involvement.
