A 24-year-old Albanian man has been arrested in our country, after being declared wanted by Italy, following an arrest warrant issued in 2022 by the Venice court. 24-year-old Klinder Luka was arrested as part of the "SACRIPANTE" operation, where 10 people were arrested in Italy.
Luka is accused of being part of a criminal group in the field of narcotics and his extradition to Italy is expected.

An international police operation codenamed "SACRIPANTE.AL" is being carried out in Albania by the Criminal Groups Investigation Sector.
The operation, initiated by the Venice Prosecutor's Office, in 2022, to crack down on a criminal group in the field of narcotics.
A citizen accused of participating in this group is arrested in Albania.
As a result of investigations and operational actions, carried out in coordination with Italian partners, within the framework of a criminal proceeding, initiated by the Venice Prosecutor's Office, the Criminal Groups Investigation Sector in the Directorate for the Investigation of Organized Crime, in the Criminal Police Department, in the DPPSh, in cooperation with the Lezha DVP, with the Italian Interforce Office in Albania, with the Italian Security Expert Office and with the Venice Carabinieri, developed in Albania, the international anti-drug operation, codenamed "SACRIPANTE.AL".
During the operation, Albanian citizen KL, 24 years old, was located and provisionally arrested, to be extradited to Italy.
The Venice Court has issued an arrest warrant for this citizen, on suspicion of committing criminal offenses in the field of narcotics, within the framework of a structured criminal group, according to the provisions of articles 81, 110 and 73 of the Italian Criminal Code.
During Operation "SACRIPANTE", 10 citizens were arrested in Italy.
Interpol Tirana is cooperating with counterparts for the extradition of the arrested citizen to Italy.
