Ambulance smashed to pieces in Fier, driver, police officer arrested, patient still in hospital

Police in Fier have arrested the 64-year-old ambulance driver, who was involved in a serious road accident yesterday, colliding with a truck.

"Specialists from the Road Traffic Sector arrested citizen JT, 64 years old, resident of Skrapar, in flagrante delicto, after yesterday, the ambulance driven by this citizen collided with the truck driven by citizen I. S," the police announced.

It is also clarified that the patient who was being transported by ambulance and the police officer who accompanied him continue to be under the care of doctors and out of danger.

The accident occurred on Wednesday afternoon on the Fier-Lushnje axis, at the place called "Vajkan Intersection". As a result of the violent collision, four people were injured, two of whom were in the ambulance. (A2 Televizion)
