Two Turkish citizens have been arrested by police in Tirana after allegedly exploiting two girls, one from Turkey and one from Azerbaijan, for prostitution in the Albanian capital.
"Specialists of the Section for the Investigation of Illicit Trafficking, as a result of investigative actions carried out under the direction of the Prosecutor's Office, following information provided by police intelligence, regarding a case of prostitution, have organized and finalized the operation codenamed "Foreigners".
The investigative actions resulted in the discovery that Turkish citizens MH and SB, in collaboration with each other, exploited a Turkish citizen and an Azerbaijani citizen for prostitution, who practiced prostitution in an apartment on Barrikadave Street.
At the end of the actions, citizen MH, 27 years old, and citizen SB, 31 years old, both residents of Tirana, were arrested for the criminal offense of "Exploitation of prostitution", committed in collaboration.
Also, proceedings were initiated against 2 women who were practicing prostitution.
As material evidence, 2,500 euros and 200 dollars, suspected to have been obtained from this illegal activity, as well as 3 mobile phones, were seized.
"The procedural materials were referred to the Tirana Prosecutor's Office for further action," the police announced. (A2 Televizion)
