He was returning with his cattle like every day, but Frrok Lleshaj did not manage to finish the journey home. Bullets from a pistol fired by unidentified persons took the life of the 65-year-old resident of the village of Paçram in Vau Dejës.
The police were notified around 9:00 PM about the murder that occurred, but there are suspicions that the victim had been killed at least an hour earlier. From the statements so far, neighbors have not heard any shots, which leaves doubts that the perpetrators took care to use a pistol with a silencer. It was one of the residents who found the body of the 65-year-old man with no signs of life and notified his wife, who then notified the police about the incident, writes A2 CNN.
The main motive for the murder for the police remains that of blood feud. The feud between the Lleshaj family and two other families has produced 5 victims since the early 1990s. Frrok Lleshaj is the third to be killed after his son and brother in the early 1990s, while his cousin Dodë Lleshaj, with whom the conflict arose, and another citizen from Puka were also killed.
It all started in 1991 when the 65-year-old's son was killed in Greece. At the time, it was said that the young man was killed by the Greek police under unknown circumstances, but Frrok Lleshaj's family suspected that his cousins were involved in the incident. So, a few years later, there are strong suspicions that the 65-year-old took his son's blood by killing his cousin Dodë Lleshaj.
Despite suspicions and accusations, Frrok Lleshaj never admitted responsibility for this incident. Meanwhile, another conflict arose with a family from Puka. Frrok Lleshaj shot another person to death, an incident he admitted to in court and for which he was sentenced to 25 years in prison.
Of these two old and still unresolved feuds, Frrok Lleshaj's brother remains dead. Together with the 65-year-old who was shot with a pistol on the evening of August 4, the number of victims due to the blood feud rises to 5.
The local police of Shkodra, who immediately arrived at the scene, began preliminary investigations through the working group established for this serious murder. The main suspicions of the murder of the 65-year-old are related to these two feuds, but so far there are no concrete people detained by the officers. The police have accompanied several people who may have knowledge of the murder, as well as family members, but so far there is nothing concrete regarding the authorship of the event where Frrok Lleshaj was killed.
The investigative group, under the direction of the prosecution, is working to fully unravel this serious event that is suspected to have been caused by a blood feud, but without ruling out any other possible leads. (A2 Televizion)
