Two cases of illegal activities were detected by the Border Police in Korça, during detailed checks at two border points in the region. The operations were carried out within the framework of risk analysis and strengthening measures to prevent illegal activities.
In Qafë Thanë, during the inspection of a truck with North Macedonian license plates, driven by citizen VT, 30 years old, an illegal immigrant of Moroccan origin was discovered, hidden under the trailer. The police initiated criminal proceedings against the truck driver, on the charge of "Aid for illegal border crossing", writes A2 CNN.
At the Gorica checkpoint, in the vehicle of citizen TA, 63 years old, from the village of Zaroshke, food and medicine without invoices were found, which are suspected to be contraband. Criminal proceedings were initiated against him for the offenses "Smuggling of other goods" and "Trading and transporting contraband goods". The goods were seized as material evidence.
