The Special Court rejected the request for summary trial of the defendants in the "5D" case.
According to the court, the case cannot be resolved in the current state of the documents and that the case should be subject to ordinary trial. SPAK then requested time to present the list of witnesses and evidence it will present at trial.
The next hearing is expected to be held on April 17. Defendants in this case are Redi Molla, Mariglen Qato, Taulant Tusha, Enton Punavija, Julian Zanaj, Albano Janku and Nestor Muhametllari.
Their trial in a regular process means that the defendants do not receive a reduced sentence if they plead guilty at the end of the trial. (A2 Televizion)
