Over the last 24 hours, Tirana's Traffic Police have carried out intensive checks on heavy vehicles, buses and vans, verifying the documentation of around 200 vehicles.
As a result, 93 drivers were punished with administrative measures for various violations. 78 measures were imposed for driving outside the permitted hours, while another 5 for lack of a transport certificate, 5 for driving without a roadworthiness certificate, 4 for technical defects and 1 for illegible license plates.
The Traffic Police continues to conduct checks and appeals to all drivers to respect traffic rules. It also invites citizens to report any traffic violations, and guarantees an immediate response.
